Looks like Prickly Pear to me, an introduced species, and classified Noxious Weed here, but so pretty and nice to see in it's own background! And how much green is there!! Nice pic Sue!!

The cacti are so pretty in bloom. We have them gowning in front yards here, but there is some talk about getting rid of all plants not native to California.

We have these cacti even in West Virginia - intruders brought in, often spread when folks try to get rid of them and chop them up, making even more plants. But they are pretty, and the fruits are edible!
