One disadvantage of finding interesting things in a national park is that you can't collect anything. I'm hoping to see this again, although it was on a relatively small loose piece of shale, it was under the sign at the top of the Top of the World chairlift where I spend a fare amount of time in winter.

Hi Joann, The problem is that it's on the top of a mountain in a national park and I can't legally remove it, even though it is in a ski resort. I haven't had a chance to take the photo into the U. of Calgary to see if they have any clues. This area is quite close the Burgess Shales, a very famous fossil deposit in British Columbia.
