We have a steam engine in the city where I live. Once a year Thomas comes to run along his tracks. I love to sit and watch the enthralled kids in their overalls and bandannas as they jump up and down as they board the train. Bandanna $1, overalls $15, ticket to ride aboard Thomas $20, the experience... priceless.

My son Michael, now 18, loved Thomas the Tank Engine when he was little. When I was heavly pregnant with our with our 2nd child I remember waking up, after having fallen alseep one day, and he was watching Thomas with the sound turned right down, so as not to wake me, as he told me.

I've got to bookmark this one so my granddaughters can work it. They're 5 and almost as good at the puzzles as I am.

I went on a steam train ride in Merthyr Tydfil in Wales a few months ago and Thomas was on every child's lips--and every grandparent/parent--that was the thrill for them--a train like Thomas
