I've always felt "The more, the merrier". Plus, dogs tend to be happier if they have a canine companion as well as human companionship. That way, they're never alone. (an awful thing for an animal that lives in packs in nature.)

"Hi" from my Collies!

My sister had a cocker whose "best friend" as a duck and he taught the duck to "bark" at the birds, used to make the whole family laugh so hard

A haughty little pair -- and should be, they must know how beautiful they are. Thanks to the photographer. Heidi, how many collies, or dare you say?

Heidi, those are fortunate dogs to have arrived on your farm. These two remind me of the Cocker Spaniels my grandmother had.

My parents raised Cocker Spaniels when I was growing up. I was named after one of them, LOL. I love dogs, cats, birds, most any king of animal. These two are black beauties, for sure! Great photo.

My sister had a blonde Cocker for 17 years. He was definitely a character! She'd always shear him down completely (no skirt or puffy bangs) in the spring when it started getting hot, and he always looked like a little lamb. I still think about him often.

I know golden cocker spaniels, didn't recognise these beautiful black dogs as cocker spaniels. Thanks Kate.

We had a black cocker spaniel about fifteen years ago. His name was Benson and he was a lovely dog. We have a golden labrador now called Willie. He is the best dog we have had so far.

Judy... I am involved with a group called "Cedaridge Collie Rescue". I take in the unplaceable geriatrics, those Collies over 10 years old, and they stay with me for life.
