Talk about anything and everything, but place your comments in the right categories so that people on slow internet connections can still enjoy the site. Also, be nice to each other - you don't have to agree, but this is not the place for personal attacks. As Sir Paul McCartney said: 'I used to think anyone doing anything weird was weird. Now I know that it is the people that call others weird that are weird' (longer explanation). Enjoy!

There was a lot of controversy when the building called 'the toaster' was built.A high rise on the waterfront that blocked a lot of views.

You've stumped me a couple of times with the close ups! I couldn't decide if one recently was Hyde Park or Darling Harbour! Is this Lavender Bay?

It's taken from the Park that's on the Eastern side of Macquarie Street. I walked all the way down to the Opera House. It's part of the Botanical Gardens & you go past Government House!

A lovely, graceful bridge, but the building is rather a fizzle. Fun to see -- thanks, Kate!

We're having the same problem with developers wanting to build tall buildings on the riverfront downtown, obscuring the view. This is an historic district, which causes even more controversy. More and more, the developers are getting variances allowing them to build. Money and politics will get you anywhere ....
