The temple has 21 towers totally.The southern tower is the largest in India with a height of 72 meters (235ft).This picture is the inner tower.It dates back to 14th century.Picture of the main tower in my page.

What a great work of art and architecture this is. I wonder how many man-hours were necessary to complete it? How very detailed it is. I see structures like this and compare them to modern day buildings, and there's just no comparison! Great photo, Appy. Thanks.

I agree, Kay. WOW seems not strong enough to describe this temple. Are there any pictures of the statues toward the top? Who are all the people or who/what do they represent? Does anyone clean the statues? Have they been affected by pollution? I may have to do a search on this.
