Bad thing with dogs in an open vehicle. They need to be sheltered in the high wind of moving truck.

I'm with you ntd, but they also need to be strapped in, as I've heard that the biggest cause of death to dogs in Australia is falling off the back of a ute - which us dog lovers do not want to see happen.

In TX you have to have a dog tethered if you put the dog in the back of a pick up. Dogs are known to jump out of the bed even when the truck is moving. Dogs have been run over and killed after jumping out.

We lived in a small country town for a while, and on Saturday afternoons, the 'boys' would come into the local for a beer or two. There would be a line of utes outside the pub each with a dog or two tied on the back. We had a big, part red cattle dog at the time, who thought it was great sport to run from ute to ute and create havoc amongst them!!!

Chopper looks like a lean, mean chasing machine.
