Very ornate building!! Morning all, don't know what I am doing still up!!

Hi there Anne, forget Rome or Athens, not that I'm any sort of expert, but my guess is that it is another picture from the ancient rock city of Petra in Jordan, the rose-red city. We've had two or three already as jigsaws here. Either that or Ephesus in Turkey. But I still favour Petra!
 |  |
I don't think its Petra. The background at Petra is a rock cliff, not blue sky.
 |  |
But some buildings are free=standing, andlook at the colour of the stone.
 |  |
Where ever it is, the blue sky is stricking behind the old stone.
 |  |
This could be in India, but it's hard to make out the carvings.
 |  |
Since the camera is pointing upwards, we really don't know what is around it, there has to be blue sky everywhere once in a while

Hello Richard, thanks for your information on the photo, very much appreciated. It would certainly be a lovely place to visit.

Wherever it is, it is crumbling, but nice to visit
