Kate - your pictures of the river all look so peaceful - must be a lovely place to float!

We had a power boat for a few years. It should have been named "Tow Me".

Reminds me of Hemingway's "The Old Man and the Sea", only this time the fisherman has a witness. It is a very peaceful scene. The lake near us has been frozen for some time now. Yesterday I was a bit sarcastic about our 1 degree temperature. Today that sounds warm as it's 18 below. That's Fahrenheit, of course.

This was such a nice pic would love to be on the boat just sitting there relaxing with not a care in the world. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Me,too, Pookie! Gramma Linda - you make me ashamed of whining at our 18 degree temperature! At least we have sun today, and it makes the little snow layer look so pretty! But not as pretty as Kate's "cute boat"!

Please don't complain about feeling cold, Kate's place was abominably hot yesterday and our place reached 43.6º C (110º F). I'll trade that for a bit of cold anyday.

Well, we had minus 39 here with the wind chill Ian, and that boat is frozen in the ice!

Peaceful scene, especially as yesterday near Kate's home was surrounded by bush fire, it started to rain there later in the afternoon which helped the firies, hope everyone's OK, that water sure looks inviting though

Hello, everybody! Great photo but I don't see "cute" relating to this boat.

Greg, we had minus 35 when we were living in Canada. I remember it well. Ice was forming on the inside (!) of the triple- glazed windows. But strangely, I enjoyed and felt more comfortable in the Canadian winter than I did during the English winters.

Thanks everyone! Judy - "cute" for a boat from my perspective is something like that: a nice wooden boat (either driven by wind or motor) big or small! I don't particularly like all the flashy modern boats! LOL!!!!
That rain yesterday was marvelous, Joann, for our area, quite heavy for More...

Hope they don't find any Kate!! It is lovely to have it a bit cooler today, but the extremes can be a bit disconcerting! And it is a cute boat!!

The boat looks like a Newfoundland dory, probably the most seaworthy little boat on the planet.

Kate, I like the smaller boats too-- but not so much the big, flashy ones, same as you. The wind and/or muscle powered ones are my favorites, the ones that make no noise. But I do enjoy a good session of water skiing behind a motorboat!

I think it's cute too.
Stay safe those with bushfires, high temps or freezing conditions.
I think that just about covers everyone!

Well, I didn't say the boat was uglah! I personally love all watercraft -- if it'll float, I'm aboard. Maybe I'd reserve "cute" for the "rub a dub dub, three men in a tub" genre.
Gail, that is a great summary for covering the planet.

The Hawkesbury - brings back lots of childhood memories, spent a lot of time at Wisemans Ferry when I was a child. Thanks for the memories
