Isn't it ok for DotCom to have an opinion as long as he isn't mean? I thought the fall leaves were nice, but I'm only from SE Florida where we don't get any colours.

Thank you Candace. We get beautiful fall leaves in the northeast, but Lauderdale by the sea has many attractions too. I try to follow the directive above to 'be nice to eachother' and I really don't mind being called 'a grumpy auld sod' and 'mean'. I've been called worse. Just thought this isn't one of our best photos.

Don't usually bother commenting. Whether or not the photo is good is immaterial to me. It looks like a Turnbull/Constable/good oil painting to me and so Ilike it. Hah!

I like this photo, and it does have a focal point. The picture leads your eye in to the right corner of the dock, where the sun on the leaves is just a bit brighter, etc. I would happily paint from it.
