Beautiful. The water is so blue. Does that mean that it's deep?
 |  |
Nice picture, Wagdy
 |  |
Beautiful blue...should be the Blue Sea, not the Red Sea! Thanks, Wagdy.

Looks very clear water and inviting. 20C (68F) at 7am.

Red heads are often called Bluey out here so I guess a blue sea could be called red!
 |  |
Why do they call redheads Bluey?

Great picture...why do they call redheads Bluey..My daughter-in-law has gorgeous red hair (natural_..so I would like to know what to say when I call her Bluey. 3:11pm and it has to be over 80...I was very hot when I went to the grocery.

Great pic, Wagdy. Why is the Red Sea called red? And redheads called 'bluey?' Now that sounds just like an Aussie joke!

looks a bit dirty, not like in dorset, uk! haha

I'm curious about why redheads are called blueys, too. I am a bluey I guess. Natural one at that. Great picture Wadgy.

I am called 'Bluey', but am not a redhead!!

Life is one silly thing after another,
love is two silly things after each other !

Gerald from ton...I really look forward to your words of wisdom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There seems to be this aussie humour of calling things the opposite of what they are. eg a tall lad will get called 'shorty', a bald one will get called 'curley'. This seems to be the reason for calling a redhead 'bluey' or 'blue'. Cheers everyone and I wish you all a very merry Christmas.
 |  |
Best one yet, Gerald! Very cute!
I thought DotCom had suggested we clock in with the time and temp on a daily basis, or was that just for yesterday?
Merry Christmas to you as well, Tricia.

Actually it goes back a lot further than Aussie humour: the man in the fairy story called Bluebeard was also a red head. I think it's Celtic, or maybe even Arabian!!
 |  |
I couldn't find any reference to his being a redhead but it's certainly a grisly tale. Most of them were.

The water looks really blue and its really good photo. I don't see anyone in the photo. No read beard or red head, just water and rocks. January 27, 08

This blue/teal water is striking! I wonder if it's really that color, or if Wagdy enhanced it with an image editing program? In any event, it's a beautiful contrast to the desert tan.

Is this the Red Sea that Moses supposedly parted in Exodus? It looks so small they could have walked around it but then I guess he wouldn't be able to drown all of Pharoah men!
