Baobob?
 |  |
Yes, Richard, this is my photo of a boab tree in the Pilbara, the north/west of West. Australia where my daughter lives.

ever wondered why they put round pizzas in square boxes? - no neither have I!
 |  |
Not a very good specimen.
 |  |
It looks like somebody enjoys sitting under this tree, good specimen or not. That is a well beaten path.

An Australian baobab aka bottle tree, family Bombacaceae, proper name Adansonia after the French botanist Adanson. Thanks Anne! There are other varieties in Africa & Malagasy.

Great photo, Anne -- very inviting scene!
Ha ha, Gerald, you funny one! (Are you sure you are not 'the other B?') Boy, that sounded like a heckufa story.

You can't put a square peg in a round hole.
 |  |
Or Kal Gal, is it just the shadow of the tree.
 |  |
Liz from Derby - maybe it's not a 'good specimen' but it happened to be there and I photographed it. There aren't many around Wickham or Cossack so it was a surprise seeing it.

You can put a square peg in a round hole... if the hole is big enough. Now, how about putting a round peg in a square hole, ie, pizzas in pizza boxes? After all we can't be seen to be discriminating against square pegs.
 |  |
ok Anne don't take offence, just saying it was not a very good example of a boab tree !!
 |  |
....was not casting aspersions on your photography skills.
 |  |
Will not 'speak out of line' again and that's a promise !!
 |  |

Trees are just wonderful and beautiful any tree I believe. Anne I love the tree God is Wonderful to give us such beauty. Look at all the scenery he gives us to cast our eyes on. So keep up the good work.
