G'day... interesting angle.

So what beautiful building is this?
 |  |
It is beautiful, and tall, it seems.
 |  |
Leaning Tower of Pisa.
 |  |
Is that what it is Lisa? It sure looks like it is leaning toward us! Yes, it is an interesting angle.
 |  |
Interesting picture, but, I think it is leaning away from us...fortunately.

Has the tower had to be supported so it wouldn't list so far gravity would win. If so, when? If not, any idea of what I'm thinking about? Maybe I just dreamed a building was falling on me. I do live in earthquake country.

I don't think it's Pisa. I'm pretty sure it's not Lucca, either. There lots of church complexes with marble collonaded towers like this.

Great picture

The masonry above the columns looks like the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The arches between the columns look somewhat larger than they appear on the official website however that may be the camera angle. 1 Dec 07 Gave me a reason to have a look at the site - extremely interesting.

I checked out the website too, Elizabeth. The Pisa tower looks like its made of white marble rather than this sandstone color.
