This is sort of a lonely photo, with not many people wandering about. I only see the one lady in the aqua skirt. Does the photographer know her, I wonder?

Oh! so excited to see my pic here!! We called in here while cruising round the Med on QE2 last year. This was my friend Angela admiring the view from the hilltop. Cagliari is the capital of Sardinia (a region of Italy)and very, very old.

ANother country, another style of interesting architecture and colour. Part of a building has been removed on the right? I wonder what's below the safety rail, shall google and see if I can find out.

Hi Elizabeth - I'm sure you've found out by now but the old town is built on a hilltop so there was nothing below the rail except a very very long drop down to the harbour.

Rose - beautiful picture...and thanks for more information on this town. Must be quite a drop off to the harbor! I'm still waiting for my first submitted picture to be used. I'm sure I'll be very excited when it happens!
