everyone. This is a very pretty street scene. Is Braidwood a small city, or does this quiet street just give that appearance?

Good Maen. According to Wikipedia, population was 996 in 2001. This appears to be "downtown".

Braidwood is a small town half way between Canberra and the coast (about 45 mins drive from here). It is very old and most of it is heritage listed. It was once used as the town in the "On my Selection" movie with Dame Joan Sutherland playing "Mum" and Kerr playing "Dad", from the "Dad and Dave" Fame (old Aussie folk lore to those overseas)

It was a busy time about 12md Saturday!! The Church was certainly busy - there were tree wedding at the Catholic Church that day!! Glad you liked it!

Also Mick Jagger stayed there when he was playing Ned Kelly in the 1969 movie of the same name!

Ian, this scene could be anytown, USA as well. It reminds me of my hometown. Sometimes I think I would like to go back to small town living -- but I probably would miss all of the cultural events (concerts, art shows, theater, etc.) too much.
