Looks a lot like our Penny and she lived until age 16. Did someone help blow out the candles?

Ah.

I could not remember if there were any previously submitted photos waiting to ambush me. It is indeed Schultz: October 1994-January 2009 on his 14th birthday.

Rest in peace my beloved dog.

Dear Kate — sincere condolences on the loss of your dear friend Schultz! The love and joy our pets bring us during their too-short lives (even if they live to be very old, it's still too short) is worth the pain we feel when we lose them. But what a good life he had!

Good old Schultz, I miss you too. I know you're up there in doggie heaven, having a good romp. Go get'em, boy!

Oh Kate, I thought this was Schultz - he did look a lot like my Sandy - I was gazing at her white face and dark eyes just this morning and thinking about Schultz.
