Dino. It looks like a perfect spot for a picnic. We're having a heat-wave here today (49`F) after all of the snow and freezing weather. Hope everyone is safe and out of danger down under.

That is the nature strip in front of my house. Sandy Point (Sth Gippsland)is a very beautiful part of the Australia.

My son is a senior weather forecaster at the Bureau of Meteorology. He has been advising the firefighters and tells me only a 2% danger of the closest fire getting to Sandy Point.

That must be a relief Dino. Thinking of you.

I'm glad you're safe, Dino. I hope you stay in that 98%. The gnarly trunks of these trees reminds me a lot of the limbs of very old live oak trees -- they often curl back down and touch the ground before winding their way up again.

Ti-trees are public enemy number 1 in some of the fire prone areas.

Lovely trees, Dino, such soft colours. Shar - we have cold relief but really fierce winds - I thought they were dying down and was about to take Sandy (my dog) out for a "stroll" (she's almost 14, so walks are kept manageable and non-challenging), when she went and lay down and the winds started up again - 70 mph last evening, don't know what they are now, but they're scarey!
