I'm with you, Kate and Gail. I used to spend whole days on the beach when I was younger. Now, I go there to take photos, and come home for a dip in the pool!

A lovely clear blue sky, much like Albany sky has been lately, but we don't have all the umbrellas on the beach.

Could easily be Myrtle Beach, one of my favorite "tourist traps." The pool is a heck of a lot closer to the bathroom though. But the sound of the ocean all night -- ah, I love it so! Thanks, Kay!

Judy, I'm only one hour away from Myrtle Beach .... I spent many, many happy hours there from the time that I was 2 yrs. old until they demolished the beloved Pavilion and amusement park last year. And Sis Emma grew up there. It's a small world!

Anne, normally you don't see umbrellas More...

Oh, Kay, that photo was reminiscent of the beaches in Southern Italy this summer - rows upon rows of rented umbrellas, quite a colorful sight! My group, though, was always the group sitting on sandy towels (well, we did have two decrepit umbrellas for those who couldn't take the sun - a far cry from the colorful lot being rented!).
