This is beautiful, they need to plant more fields in this manner, with different flowers. A field of poppies, tuplips, all kinds, never to many. 03/05/08 Wed.

I believe it's a farm. Sunflower seeds are a commodity. Besides the seeds as a food for man and bird, the oil is also very useful. Was easier than I thought it would be (even for a medium).

Beautiful sunflowers.
Good day all.

Sadie I love your comment. Sunflowers turn their heads from east to west following the sun until grown, then account weight of head they remain facing east.

This is so lovely.......my husband is from Kansas...I'm sure he will appreciate this.

Sunflowers in a garden are lovely. The discourage the small animals from eating the plants that you've tended all spring and summer. Love them.

Sunshine!

Frances, hope all is well there in Boone, not always good to see a town on CNN.

Doug, I agree completely! Really nice when a commercial crop is so pretty -- though the wind moving through a crop of wheat is lovely in its own way (but you can't capture that gentle swaying in a photo!). I plant some sunflowers for the birds (though they get most of theirs from our feeders).

Much like the easy on 2/24, and just a pretty.

Made me want to sneeze. I've turned into a curmudgeon.
