I'd not looked at your title Kate so when concentrating on the autumn leaves I was transported to New England (USA) for those 2 glorious autumns I experienced there--then I realised the scene was in Oz--should have realised that the small hill behind looked more like one of our fields than those in NE.

I was only looking at the colour changes in my own garden yesterday admiring how beautiful all the different shades are. Gramma Linda it looks like harvested lucerne in the paddock behind.

It's just a paddock in the drought, Gramma Linda. Dubbo's in western NSW & they were drought stricken last year. The green grass belongs to the Club (where we'd had Mother's day lunch with our Mum), it gets watered from the Macquarie River which flows nearby! The photo was taken from the Restaurant.
