And is it like here where the irrigation is often at huge cost to the environment? We've got some man-made disasters on our hands.

Vale Michael Jackson--poor lost soul

and if I hear the word 'icon' or 'iconic' used again I'll, I'll um I'll ummmmm ... ...

They grow some great peaches in that area. Yum, yum!

I agree with Ceri's comment. At what cost to the communities and environments downstream as their water disappears and what is left is polluted by fertilizers and herbicides.

At least Farrah Fawcett tried to make something meaningful of her life, and death. I never understood the fascination with Michael Jackson.

Thanks for the picture Wilodene.
Micheal was a darling little boy! There I've said something nice about the recently departed!

The water from the Colorado River does not reach the sea any more. I rather think the major fault is in my home state and not further upstream although all contribute.

I second Shar's comment. Michael could also dance as though his bones were made of gel. I never saw the fascination, either. Fascinting voice and dance moves, but as a person, a little strange.

I agree both with the comments about the high cost to the environment, and the comments about MJ. A LITTLE strange??? He was good looking before he tried to turn himself into a white woman. (His plastic surgeon has said that that was his goal.)

A funny read, I think I'll stay quiet with my opinion!

Great shot Wilodene.
