I've just been reading this morning about the passing of an Aussie legend, Nancy Bird-Walton. I was privileged to meet her on several occasions and while I doubt that she knew my name each time, she remembered that she had met me previously. She was a charming lady and will be sadly missed by all, especially those in the aviation world.

Thanks for the comments, I the sand is quite dark but there were shadows as well. I love the beach it has such a peacefulness about it.
Kathy - what a privilege to meet Nancy Bird Walton, she was an amazing pioneer woman and she was happy to have lived long enough to see a type of plane named after her

A very evocative photo, Joann. There's a lovely poem in there, if I can just tease it out ...

I didn't even notice the footsteps till I read the caption. A great photo Joann.
Yes, I was saddened to hear of the passing of Nancy Bird Walton, a true pioneer.
