Solve the Jigsaw
To move a piece of the jigsaw, click on it with the mouse and hold the button down while you move the piece. To join the puzzle pieces together, drop pieces next to each other, if they are a match then they will join up automatically.

It seems to be our day for great insect shots. Kate, they have to be beetles with that distinct thorax. What they are doing seems to be more reminiscent of our spring than your autumn!

Do you have lightning bugs in OZ? I would think you do.

Interestingly, last I heard , there is no more known about what causes the fluorescence than 100 years ago,
any more than it is known what makes any electric eel electric.

Thanks everyone. They're only about 10mm long - the plastic coated wire basket rungs are only 4-5mm.
Libby I don't think they're lightning bugs,but I could be wrong!!
I searched quite a few bug/beetle sites but didn't find anything exactly like them. Here are some of them:
