Hi, we're back! I thought it was an interesting pub, not at all like the traditional thatched, quaint pub you might expect to see in England. Makes a decent jigsaw too.

It was a good jigsaw Ian. Hope you had better weather while you were away.

I like it. We saw the sign yesterday (I can't remember if it was here or on Sudoku) and now we get the pub.
Ian, those thatched roofs you mentioned are not so commonplace here in the states. Speaking for myself, I'd like to see a bunch of them. Please.

This does look more like a corner pub in New Jersey than one that you describe in England, Ian. I loved the sign yesterday, and seeing the entire building is a surprise today. Good photo and puzzle (as always)!

I've never seen one like that in NJ, but it looks exactly like one my aunt and I go to in WI when I visit her. It's called Ferrante's.

So glad you snapped a close-up of the sign so we could enjoy both it and the building as a whole. Way to go, Ian!

June, the weather was great - we missed all the rain. (It was a bit frigid in Orange though.)

The same 'Swann Inn' that we had the close-up of the sign yesterday. The building doesn't look anything like I imagined it to when I saw the sign.

Ilived in NJ for 13 years and saw many similar pubs in the smaller towns around south and central Jersey. They are very "homey" looking, and you can always get directions or info from the locals who frequent them.

Judy, yep - when I get a bit of time. We're off to Melbourne next week.

A right smart city is Melbourne -- that's where my friend Ruth lived. Happy trails, Ian and Anne!
