I nearly gave up on the sky. I like the monochrome effect produced by the flat light. It also makes it look very cold!

Sue. The building looks so modern and un-ornate for Russian architecture and the spire looks like an un-opened umbrella. It was a fun puzzle and all the more reason to go and aee Alaska for ourselves.

I guess no onehs favorite desserts for the holidays except Judy and me. BTW Judy that ice cream cake sounds delicious. Another favorite of one of my brothers was Snow Pudding which sounds nothing like it is. Also thanks for the recipe site. I just thought it would be interstng to see what other people around the globe liked.

It is a curiously un-ornate church (thank you, Shar, for the new architectural term) - I tend to expect the onion dome and such in the Russian churches. Great photo, Sue, in its shades of gray, very moody!

Tsk, Shar, lookit what you've done to po, po pitiful Gail! MY favorite holiday desserts are Gail's ice-cream cake, sister Flo's chocolate cake, Ruth's fudge, Alice's carmels. Oh, there are many more -- all baked by others. I DO think it's a great idea Shar! Snowman's hug!

Please accept my sincere appologies, Gail. It must have been one of those senior moments I get a lot of lately.
