Thanks Kate.

What a marvelous word--'squark'! Is that the sound they make?
 |  |
Good morning! That was interesting - to work with blurs! And lovely to boot. Thank you, merci, grazie (don't know whose photo it is - why are the photographers often unidentified for their efforts?)

What beautiful birds!
 |  |
Is it thanks to Kate and Ian?
 |  |
Pretty birds...but a bit scarry when they cluster around you.
 |  |
Thanks, Ian. Beautiful birds. A good picture and puzzle.
 |  |
Joan, it is one of my photos.
Diane, they are very noisy birds and yes, it is a fair mimic of their sounds.
Candace, it is my thanks to Kate for her thanks to me (for the photo). I hope that is helpful.

As I have said before Ian, a great photo, and a tough puzzle!
 |  |
Sorry, Candace, I shouldn't have been succinct it lead to confusion. Thanks for sorting it out, Ian.
 |  |
very pretty birds and a fun puzzle.
 |  |
Great pic Ian!!
 |  |
A 'squark' - very appropriate, Ian - should become general usage!! Great Picture.
 |  |
The collective noun for parrots is 'company,' but I didn't find anything for lorikeets. Maybe you should claim it, Ian!
 |  |
Thanks Judy, I guess it's mine now.
BTW, a fellow I once worked for coined the phrase 'a Grumble of Graziers'.
 |  |
A Grumble of Graziers? Now, what is a grazier, Ian?
 |  |
Judy, this may not be strictly accurate but it is as I understand it - people who work on the land are either farmers or graziers. Farmers till the soil and graziers graze sheep, cattle, goats etc.
I suppose I have left out the orchardists of this world and to them I apologise. I suppose in your country you would call graziers ranchers?
 |  |
Thanks, Ian. I'm not sure cattle ranchers would be able to stand still and hear about a sheep rancher -- seems there is lingering animosity among them. I'm glad to have a new word, as well as a new collective noun!
