That was what I call HARD--but satisfying, too.

Gorgeous picture Ian - made a great jigsaw...if it weren't for the way the puzzle pieces stack onto each other I would have been here all day!

That was fun Ian! It was hard but not as hard as I thought it would be. Looks more like slate than sandstone .

Ian, thanks for sharing this awesome picture...this was a great hard puzzle

June, I think you are correct - slate, not sandstone. I guess I was more interested in the photo than the title. BTW, what are you doing up at such an ungodly hour? I notice a comment from you on the Sudoku Easy pages about an hour later. Insomnia?

Ian - wonderful photo again - thank you. I can't help thinking you were smiling to yourself while you took the photo, knowing what a tough hard puzzle it would make!

This was the hardest puzzle I've done on this site. Very interesting picture. It was not a delight to do, but it was a delight to finish.
It was very good Ian.

Diane, I was sitting in the coffee shop minding my own business when I spotted this feature wall and it was just begging me to take a photo of it. And yes, I was smiling as I thought to myself, "That'll make a good jigsaw!"
dino, it wasn't a wicked gleam at all, I would call it a smile - with a bit of a twinkle in the eye. (Stay safe from the fires)

Ian, that was the best hard yet, but I agree with dino. There is a wicked gleam in your eyes. http://jigsawonline.net/43

See, I can't even get the smilie face to work for that wicked gleam.

Wonderful puzzle Ian, and I am sure there was no malice aforethought, just a little mischief in that twinkle!!! Just as well I love T & E!!

Too much for me tonight! That's one up for you, ian. You take such great pictures. I'd like to just matt and frame this one and hang it on my wall.

Ian has been savoring this puzzle's appearance knowing what a poser it would be. Naughty man! (Spoken as one who didn't even attempt to stack it.) It's a great one, Ian!

Ian, if I didn't know what a kind and witty gentlman you are, I would swear that there's quite a cruel streak here .... ! Seriously, it looks lovely, but I'll save it for later tonight, when I have plenty of time. I love the texture and colors.

Ok. I admit it, I stacked. In my defence there is only so much lunchtime available.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I admit there was mischief, but no malice, in my motive for taking the photo. I enjoyed the challenge.

I haven't even done it yet or looked at the title but I already know it has to be one of Ian's!

Ian, it reminds me of a wall at a certain restaurant near me, I seem to remember a twinkle in the eye then too!
BTW The times on the jigsaw posts are totally out of whack, I think by two hours.
