I have the same question, Jim, where did you see it? I remember travelling up in northern Queensland and there are traffic signs with cassowaries on them to warn drivers to slow down and not run into them. No good for the birds or the cars. Pity I didn't take a photo of the signs, they were funny

This bird was in Chicago's Brookfield Zoo in the summer of 2006. This photo was taken just outside the exit of "Australia House," Brookfield's indoor Aussie exhibit. The Cassowary had about a one-acre paddock to roam, next to the kangaroos, and across a pathway from the Hippo's outdoor pools.
