Well I think I'm first to post tonight - this is a first for me. I'm off to bed now & I hope everyone has a good day tomorrow.

Gee, I'm moving up...second today. Interesting picture, I can't decide if it was taken from a bridge or a helicopter.
 |  |
Or maybe a small plane. Who else is a pilot?
 |  |
another great photo-like the perspective.thanks
 |  |
I vote helicopter.
 |  |
It looks like looking east from Florida's east coast about noon. I vote for small plane, but what is the orange thing in the middle?
 |  |
It is a photo of Point Cook, birthplace of Australain military aviation taken from a Tiger Moth. The yellow/orange blur in the centre of the photo is the tip of the propellor.

Wow. I would have guessed FL also--it's the US bias. Have been to Melbourne and Sydney but missed this. Lovely pic.

Nice to see this picture as a puzzle Ian. Saw it as a photo several days back on the Sudoku I think. Cheers! (P.S. - Where are Snoopy and the Red Baron?)
 |  |
Greg, thanks. Snoopy was in the front cockpit and the Red Baron was on our tail.

(It seems that my keyboard has forgotten how to spell 'Australian'.)

Another very interesting pic Ian!! You certainly do have some adventurous trips, and they give us some great puzzles!!!

Wonderful picture Ian. I am jealous. You were in a Tiger Moth. I would love to fly in a biplane some day.

Bluey, thanks - I have indeed had some fun in my lifetime, much of it was never recorded on camera. The adventures I have recorded I am willing to share with anyone who is interested.

Eileen, thanks also. Most people who own biplanes are willing to take passengers. Give it a go, it is great fun.

Interesting picture.

To Ian from Sidney. Thanks for the info. I checked out Point Cook on GoogleEarth and found it to be the RAAF Museum, Victory, Australia south of the city of Point Cook, on the southern tip of Australia. You would think it would be cold there so far south but it looks warm. What's it like there?

I've been there but haven't seen it from that angle!! 26th Feb'07

Another great photo from Ian. I'm jealous also, and just might ask for a ride next time I see a biplane. There's a stunt pilot who flies a red one, and practices over the Cape Fear River. I get a good show from my back deck when he's out there.
