This building looks like it was defensively fortified - thick stone, narrow upper windows; but if so against whom? Fun puzzle. Thanks Kate. I love historic pictures.

Kevin, there was a radio bunker there manned by the RAAF. The Germans had laid mines along the shore & a German U boat had been spotted.
