Hooray - at last I got to the jigsaw in time to be the first to comment. Pays to get on the computer when you get back from dinner out, rather than in the morning. The pokers are aptly named, as they certainly remind me of the colour of chillies. Not as hard as I thought it was going to be.

I've never seen these gorgeous plants before, and they're my favorite color. The red/orange against the green and the deep blue sky make a striking picture. Are these tropical plants? Good puzzle, too.

My mother-in-law used to grow these in Southern California. I never tried to grow them In the north.

Kay, they aer native Aussie plants (As far as I know) and they are very drought heat toleratant so they are doing better over Australia all the time, they also come in a range of shades each one as beautiful as the next.

I looked them up -- they originated in South Africa, and now grow almost anywhere except where there are constant frigid conditions. The only ones I've found on the Web to order are bright red and bright yellow, but they're beautiful. They're also called Torch Lilies, which I have heard of. Just More...
