Yes a trip to Ireland would be nice but would rather wait for warmer weather.

This one was tough - loved it.

This is a photo I took during our visit to Ireland in 2003. It has been on before.

Big tall grave markings. Could fall over and hurt someone. I'd like to go to Ireland but not to a Cematary. 01/14/08

Nice challenge!

Martha, actually it's not a grave marker, it is a tall tower. It was used as a lookout tower and a sanctuary of last resort in the event of an attack.

Ian, you have so many photos from so many places! Do you get to travel for work, or are these vacations? In any case, we, the puzzlers, certainly get to benefit from your travels - and I like it when you comment on the photos. Thank you so much for sharing!

Joan, my wife and I travelled around the world on our way to her mother's 90th birthday celebrations in Wales in 2003. Then again in Aug/Sep last year we travelled back to Wales for her funeral, visiting relatives in Hong Kong on the way over and in Amsterdam on the way back and called in on our More...

Ian, I am so glad you got to travel to all those places! And that you brought back such lovely photos and stories. I love to travel, but health as well as monetary issues catch up with all of us in time. Carpe diem, one and all! (PS, am renewing my passport anyway!)

I am not getting a picturs, all the pieces are red. What's gone wrong?
 |  |
Oh, dear, Suzanne! That happens now and again. Check the site later and it will probably be put to rights again -- Gath has been having quite a few challenges with it. Hang in there!

once upon a time in a magical kingdom....

I love old cemeteries, and love to read the gravestones. This might have something to do with my growing up in a funeral home.

My mothers' family has a whole graveyard overlooking the Petitcodiac River in Hillsboro, New Brunswick. She is a descendant of the Steeves(Americanized version of Steif) family that settled New Brunswick. It is very beautiful site.
