The juxtaposition of this beautiful, peaceful garden with the wartime POW camp seems a bit strange. Is the garden a gesture of reconciliation between the Japanese survivors of the escape attempt and the citizens of Cowra?

Lovely. The greens, the water with its reflections, the little whatsit in the water, how serene and tranquil. Especially right now when I'm taking a break from trying to clean "stuff" out of the basement to make room for more "stuff"!

Did you take pictures of the garden in early Spring Ian? My winter pictures are still coming through! There's one still coming that looks very autumnal - a tree still with many of its brown leaves (with my father, also Ian, underneath).

Correction, I have put them up in my gallery. I only took a couple because I was feeling a bit poorly and didn't stroll up the hill.
