Wagdy, did you eat lunch at the lovely restaurant on this site in Laguna Beach? I've enjoyed all your photos from this vantage point!

Wagdy for the "warm" photo. I'm sitting here watching the wild birds feed from our seed dispensers and they are sure hungry little creatures. It's 40 F here and windy and almost all the leaves are gone so that is a great place to visit in my imagination wishing I was there.

O.K., Shar, let's get some tickets and go out and visit Leelee! Thank you, Wagdy, I, too, have enjoyed the warm photos.

I just have a problem thinking of palm trees as trees! They always look to me like some sort of failed vegetable propagation experiment. I still enjoy pictures of them, and this is very nice, especially with palms in the distance looking like aliens coming over the hill to join their leader. (I need to get out more!)

Oh, goodness, Gramma Linda very funny! I know what you mean but you'd call a palm a tree if it were the only shade you could find, I bet you. How's your weather in Iowa? Cold in OK, but a sunny day and hardly any wind. Works for me!

Must get there one day and see for myself.

Gramma Linda, you made me laugh out loud -- literally! It certainly does look exotic to those of us in the central and eastern US (not counting Florida, which is pretty exotic as well).

Gramma Linda, I will never look at palm trees the same again. Even the large one just outside my window is taking on a weird, scientific failure mood....

I have a tall palm tree in my yard, and when it drops its dates...my Golden Retriever, Flynn, is almost impossible to live with. He eats them by the dozens, and, well, you can just imagine. He even leaves the room to get away from the ghastly aroma!
