That blue is so BLUE! I'm hungry for something other than pale, washed out, cold winter blue...

Good photo, Wilodene. I've never seen a sky that blue. It reminds me of the ink, "washable blue," that we had to take to gradeschool to practice penmanship. It wasn't washable, BTW. Or bluing -- does anyone remember bluing?

I remember bluing - to make laundry look less yellow. I also remember little old ladies (both my grandmothers) putting blue stuff on their hair to make it an unyellow white.

I wonder if that deep blue isn't because cameras see it somewhat differently than our eyes. Other photos seem to More...

When we visit the Midwest or East, I miss the clear true blue skies of the high desert. While I remember what a beautiful day it was, the blue does seem extreme; maybe the camera does see it a little differently and maybe the angle of the sun makes a difference. What a blessing cartridge pens were in college, especially if you had a nursing student friend who could More...

About the picture: I find archeology interesting and think the top of this canyon wall looks like an old fortress of some kind. Maybe we could all meet there for a 'dig'! Of course, we'd need an elevator installed to get some of us to the top...

Stunning, simply stunning!

I also remember some sort of blue bag that used to be used on bee stings etc.

From an all time hoarder, I still have some Ricketts Blue put away. Also I have a hair shampoo that has some blue in it to stop my hair looking yellow.(and not enough to give it a blue tinge either!!)
I love the outcrop of rock in the photo. Thanks Wilodene.
And yes the camera often intensifies the colours.
