I grew up with the old movies about pirates. I had always wanted to go on a sailing ship, and got my chance last year, when Celeste and I spent a day on a copy of the Mayflower. (First ship to the New World). So small!!!!

Dorthea, my great-great (and a couple more) was a privateer under Lord Cornwallis in the American War of Independence. A privateer is a commissioned pirate and like you, I am fascinated by the stories of pirates and the sea.
