So - what are banksias ? Do they flower ?

Yes banksias flower, they look something like a bottle-brush. No I don't think they are edible.And May Gibbs wrote and illustrated many childrens books about characters from the australian bush. Banksia seed-pods were Bad Banksia Men and duely terrified many kids. CG maybe the Bad Banksia Men got the cat!
