Montenvers train station:
The Montenvers Railway is a mountain railway line in the Haute-Savoie region of France. The line runs in Chamonix, to the Hotel de Montenvers station, at the Mer de Glace, at an altitude of 1913 m (6276 ft).mer de glace is one of the living glacier.

I guess that's a clock on top. At first I thought it was an altimeter and the elevation was 12,200 ft. That would be really up there!

Great photo appy.

I love the photo, appy. I would love to see the train, too. I think that I would be white instead of blue, with my acute fear of heights! That, and the cold, would probably render me unconscious, LOL.

Oh Dear, I've done the unforgivable. I posted a pithy comment and then didn't revisit the site until late in the evening. I hope i haven't insulted anyone, particularly Judy and Heidi by not responding to your comments. Things might be better in a couple of days.
