What a beautiful animal! I wonder why they're called leapord seals? I only see two spots....

Another of mine, taken last year but only very recently sent. He was a very smug fellow in his new enclosure.

These guys are predators. That's probably how they got their name. They eat fish, squid, penguins and smaller seal species. They have been known to even attack man. They are Antarticas equivalent to the polar bear. And it looks SO cute!

Man!!! Don't you just hate it when you hit the wrong button and whoosh, the screen goes blank! I had a witty comment, too, but it's gone now as well. I enjoyed the puzzle - only needed 15 moves. Sorry you all missed my first comment...

Wow, Heidi, I just read up on the leopard seal -- a downright nasty critter, as you were saying!

I've seen video footage of these seals hunting successfully, and I sure wouldn't want to be their prey. Very smart, very fast and very deadly.

This one gets room service. Another reason to be smug.
