Oh...what makes you think its not Rome??
It is Rome indeed, and was taken this May, 2008 by me..:), while travelling from the airport to our hotel.

and those trees are typical of Rome and called Umbrella trees.I thought the very sight of those trees will remind you guys of Rome...

I would have guessed Africa too, Leelee. It's certainly different from any photos I've ever before seen of Rome. Thanks Appy, for a new take. It's certainly a beautiful view.

I, too, would have thought Africa. I think of Rome as a city, and I avoid those like the plague. I didn't know that Umbrella trees like those in Africa were also found in Rome. What I don't understand is how a city could have that open plain effect.
