Gorgeous bright parrots. I think the chickens are having to learn to share.

Lovely bright coloured parrots. Where was this photo taken.

It must be an Australian photo - crimson rosella, rainbow lorikeet, juvenile king parrot - and a couple of chooks. So who was the photographer who took such an interesting photo?

Wouldn't I love to see these fellows in my birdfeeder!

Me too, Liz!

I've seen a duck & a bush turkey sitting in a bird feeder, but not both together - it wasn't big enough! Usually it's only a combination of natives as above with or without kookaburras. The chooks are fed separately! Great picture!

Terrificly challenging. 30 minutes. Couldn't figure out what is was for the longest time; assembled the pieces in groups this time for the most part.

Is "chooks" another word for hens, or chickens? I think male cardinals are about the most colorful bird that is native to my area, and the bluebird will run a close second. Here on the Atlantic coast we have some really pretty shore birds, though not so colorful. Great photo! 4/11/08 3:26 a.m.
