Can't believe I'm 4th....had a birthday dinner for my 82 year old mum and most of the family..i.e three of her children and two of mine..one of whom is pregnant with my first grandchild...and am still trying to wind down. How better than a jigsaw or three? Even though that statue looks horribly grumpy I'm not..just very tired.

Thanks Kate. This site is so good for making images more real because folk share information. I googled the water fight statues in Independence from a few days ago and couldn't find any more info. The notion of such statues was intriguing.

And is that a giant rolling pin under her barefoot? Protesting against kitchen duties!!!!!

Helena, I assumed a scroll, but hey, you what happens when you assume. Wondering if anyone else saw the fish puzzle piece that is (was?) her right arm / elbow?

What a get-up to keep on -- that garment looks like it could slide off the shoulder at any moment and the head piece would go another direction of course. Then there is all that yardage to deal with, let alone whatever is around her ears. Ah, and her left sandal is about to go. Yikes, and you wonder why she looks grumpy!
