I wish people would put this type of craftsmanship and detail into modern construction. This decorative arch is lovely.

Heidi, the only thing I'm angry about is that you are right. They don't really dress up buildings like they use to. I know styles change, but some of our older buildings are lovely and should be cherished and not torn down.

I agree, Heidi and Big Red. In the older days the emphasis was on fine craftmanship and buildings with some personality. I'm biased after seeing what "development" has done to our coastal areas. Hmmmmff! On a positive note, thanks for sharing this old treasure with us.
