I would love to have gardens like this. I have drawings where I have dreamed them up, even dug a hole or two to start them. But to my dismay my yard still looks like a pasture with a house stuck in the middle.

Is this one of the gardens at the Palace of Versailles?
 |  |
Anne Good Maen, I am a guessing person, this doesn't seem as lush as the Palaces gardens. Sorry I not coming up with an alternative.
 |  |
Karen - I'm sure someone will be able to enlighten us with an answer.
 |  |
Good I hope so. My brain has been put through enough this morning.
 |  |
haven't quite got my garden to that standard yet.
 |  |
Not a gardener, but what is the brown area???? Looks like dirty river.
 |  |
ntd, I believe the dirty river is pea gravel.

Sure glad you all can't see my yard...I hate gardening...hard work and you meet up with so many undesirable bugs.

Karen, the National Arboretum site has virtual tours that may inspire you to get that shovel back out. My favorites are the conifers and the fern valley sections. My plans are to (gradually) design a walking/biking path along our property in Arkansas that will take us along the Nat'l forest up one direction, and back down the creek, along the springs and pond

Oh Norma that sound so beautiful. Your Arkansas plans sound huge.

I have to redesign my plans. When I dreamed them up they did not include children. So now I need to make my gardens around swing sets, wading pools, a sand box, etc. I also need to make the gardens child friendly. Right now I More...

Karen, did you see the answers to some of your questions at the end of the day yesterday?
 |  |
Yes, Pam I read the responses from yesterday. Congradulations on your baby boy. I hope you are enjoying every minute of his life.
It seems I cannot stop being amazed at my little miracle. My step father teases me about the girl only being a year old and I have 5 ultra sound DVR pictures and 6 DVRs full and 5 photo albums. And when the girl is not in my presence the albums are open.

Karen, now's the time to cherish those precious moments when your daughter is little. They grow and change so fast at this time. You and Pam have to take the time and note the changes, memorize the stories. I'm at the other end with both my boys fully grown and married and starting families of their own.

To all you jigaholics, have you tried www.allstarpuzzles.com? A bit different but very good fun.
 |  |
Wendy I went to All Star Puzzles, it was different. I need to be awake to work them. I did three and it took a while to each of them.

Have you tried Ian's White Puzzles. It was different, because they are totally white puzzles. I needed pictures so I think I only did 4 or 5 of them.

Wonder where this was taken with all the pengins. Good picture must be a zoo. Pretty blue with all the rocks.
