Picture plant? It seems to be mimicing a dragon fly. (Where is that spell checker?)

Most unusual plant - slipper orchid maybe?
 |  |
I don't think I like that flower...not too happy with the colors.
 |  |
Interesting, almost sinister-looking! Some kind of orchid?
 |  |
It looks like an orchid to me, too. Interesting flower.

Actually, those colors are suppose to be complimentary on the color wheel, I think. But I do find it rather disturbing. It has a nasty look to it. Looks like it is ready to take a gulp out of someone or something. Maybe it already got the dragonfly? No, I think that is a part of the plant. Probably an orchid, someone's hybred ingenuity (or weird sense of humor).

pitcher plant, jack-in- the-pulpit

Some kid with a weird hairdo, big ears and sticking his tongue out. Unhealthy looking tonsils
 |  |

Very strange.

It's another of Sue beautiful flower photos. It's an orchid - slipper, I'm pretty sure!
 |  |
Jack-in-the-pulpits don't look like that around here! Probably is a weird pitcher plant.

I've just had a suggestion to visit this site - beautiful & exotic orchids & lots of other things too! http://www.flickr.com/photos/ericinsf/

Kate, that is a fabulous site, thank you for drawing my attention to it.
Coincidentally, I was just browsing through Sue's wonderful photos and came across this photo not five minutes ago!

Just beautiful.

Thanks again for a great shot, Sue. I like the dark background. It helps give that ominous feel.

Honey, I'm home! A day and a half w/o power -- we were whisked away to my friend Mary's lovely daughter Suzy's home. So good of her to have us, but so good to be home. Needless to say the trees are a wreck from the ice storm.
Great photo, Sue! I hope you have power in B'ville, but may not -- some of the northeastern part of OK is still powerless. Cheers everyone!
